Save Your "Tragedy"

“Tragic, but”
“Terrible, however”
“Tragic loss of life, but”
“Tragic to see someone die, but”
“Tragedy for everyone involved, but”
“Very sad, no one wants that, however”
“I don't love that someone is dead, but”
“It is tragic, but”
“It’s always a tragedy, but”
“It was a tragedy, that being said”

Fuck you and your empty words.
These lifeless words hold no value.
These are the words of those who lack empathy.
These are the ignorant words of someone who has no understanding about death or grief. 
Your words are pathetic, they are a waste of my time.
They are no better than bullshit.

This society is cruel and unkind to grieving humans. 
You haven’t an idea.
Your words are empty, like the home of a six year-old boy who’s mother is now gone.
You have no knowledge of that lifetime of grief.

You call a school shooting tragic, then proceed to protect the weapons that enable such outrage.
You call an unjust murder tragic, then proceed to defend the ICE pigs that carry out such injustice.
Fuck you and your tragedy.
 
The empathy gap is so loud in these times. 
People love to use the word tragic. They don’t truly understand the reality of it, so they throw around the word tragic as if this shows any sort of empathy. 
You throw around the word as if you’re doing something helpful.
You title something as tragic and you think this makes it okay that it happened?
You think this pathetic word in some way honors or shows respect?
You make me sick.

Save your "tragedy." 
I believe in something GOOD, greater;
it is called humanity.
